The larger of the two cups has a 32 ounce capacity, and the other is taller and holds 24 ounces. The system also comes with convenient flip top lids for taking your smoothies on the go.

This machine comes in a variety of colors ranging from a sleek, sophisticated gray to an array of bright, more modern colors. The Nutri Ninja Pro also has a watt motor, making it comparably capable to the NutriBullet Pro in terms of the kind of ingredients that it can blend. The Ninja is also very adept at handling ice and frozen fruit, making it a good choice if you intend to make cold, creamy desserts in addition to more health conscious smoothies. If you are new to the blending scene, I can highly recommend the NutriBullet Pro Although the motor in the NutriBullet Pro is powerful, it still may be necessary to stop it periodically and allow it too cool down.

The instruction manual recommends that sixty seconds should be the maximum amount of time that the blender should be running, but pausing for a moment as soon as thirty seconds before resuming may be better both for extending the life of the motor in general, and for achieving the proper consistency of some tougher to blend ingredients.

Some parts are shaped in a way that makes them slightly difficult to keep clean without being hand washed, especially if you are using ingredients that are prone to stickiness, but hand washing could also extend the longevity of the machine.

Due to normal wear and tear that can occur with very frequent daily use, it could be worth the effort to research sources for replacements of the most frequently used parts for the NutriBullet Pro , particularly the Extractor blade and the blending cups. This machine does come with a one year product warranty that might cover certain parts free of charge, but that would not cover the cost of shipping and handling charges, making the purchase of replacement parts as needed potentially more economical.

The parts for the Nutri Ninja Pro are dishwasher safe, but as with the NutriBullet, hand washing is obviously easier on them and this alone could extend the life of your most frequently used components. Something else worth noting with the Ninja Pro is that while it can very efficiently break up and blend ice into fluffy, snow like texture, if the pieces of ice initially placed in the blender are too large, you might end up with a few small chunks remaining at the end of blending. Once you have filled your cup being careful not to fill past the designated line firmly screw the cross blade to the top of the cup.

To affix the cup to the base of the blender, you simply turn your cup up-side-down and align the plastic tab with the base of the blender. You then lock the cup into place by gently twisting to the right. To blend your ingredients, gently press down on the top of the cup.

The time it will take to blend will all depend on what you have placed into your cup. Softer items such as Banana and Spinach will take less time — averaging from 30 seconds to a full minute to process.

Harder ingredients such as Carrot or Frozen items, it will take longer — from 4 minutes onwards to complete. Once blended, you release the cup from the base by gently twisting the cup to the left. Remove the cup form the base and remove the cross blades. It will take a little more effort to remove the cross blades as they tend to tighten during operation. Pour contents into a portable sealed cup to take to work like I do or pour into a glass to serve.

If you are making a soup, place the content into a microwave safe container and heat on high for a couple of minutes. Alternatively, place the contents of the cup into a saucepan, add a little seasoning and bring to the boil on your stove top. I personally love to add a little sour cream, salt and pepper to a post blended combination of Pumpkin, Onion and a little garlic and a little stock.

Quarter fill your cup with warm water and add a small trace of disk washing detergent. Pulse for a couple of second, empty the contents and place on a dish rack to dry. In this approach, the container itself can snap off and flip over to become a cup or bottle. These units come with a lid that will fit over the open end. Since blenders are used for blending juice and smoothies most frequently, this skips over a step because you do not need a separate the bottle or shaker.

There are only a few moving parts for countertop blenders that you can replace. The base, which contains most of the machine, is the most important part, but you generally need to purchase another model for that.

On the other hand, replacement containers and tops are generally available. There are several dozen companies that make countertop blenders. Some, like Ninja and Vitamix, specialize in blenders. Others are general household goods companies that sell blenders as one of many products, like Kohler or Hamilton Beach. Each brand may sell one or more models that differ in blending capacity, features, and other characteristics. Skip to main content. Guaranteed 3 day delivery.
